3 on 3 COED LEAGUE
The Northstars run a competitive 3 on 3 Coed league where players and teams can compete at the top level.
Dates: January 6 - March 16
Games: 16 Games plus playoffs (2x games a day)
Location: Northstars SportsPlex (310 Albany Turnpike, Canton)
Cost: $325 Per Team / $115 individual
Times: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
3 on 3 COED LEAGUE RULES
- 8 Week Session with Playoffs
- Games: Saturdays
- Teams of 5 players (max)
- Register as a team or individually
- Team Entries must have a coach until 7th Grade
- 20 Minute Games (2x games per day)
- 10 Minutes Running Time per Half
- 5 Minutes Half Time
- Flip of Coin will determine who starts with initial possession of the ball.
- No time outs alloted
- Unlimited Subsitutions after made baskets or when the ball is not in play
- 3 Seconds in the lane will result in turnover. Refs may issue reminders
- Both Feet and the ball must go outside of the 3-pt line on a change of possession
- Ball that goes out of bonds is checked behind the arc
- Half court line is out of bonds
- A defensive rebounds must be taken past the arc (includes air balls)
- No Stalling. There will be a ref's discretion "30 second shot clock"
- Scoring: 2 points per basket inside the arc 3 points per basket outside the arc
- Free Throws: A fouled player will only shoot one free throw.
- Bonus Free Throws: One shot (Worth 2 points) Will be given to a player fouled on the 5th team foul and all subsquent fouls by the opponent.
- Intentional Fouls (no matter when they occur) will result in 2 points plus the ball
- Players have 6 seconds to shoot a free throw once the teams are lined up
- 1st Overtime 2:00 (running clock)
- 2nd Overtime 1:00 (running clock)
- 3rd Overtime is Sudden Death (First team to score)
