
HEAD COACH MARCUS WILLIAMS
Marcus Williams is entering his third season as the girls head coach at Sports and Medical Science Academy (SMSA). Prior to SMSA, Williams spent two seasons as the girls JV Coach at Suffield High School where he helped led them to the semi-finals of the NCCC playoffs and the quarterfinals of CIAC State Tournament.
Williams coached for the Connecticut Shamrocks AAU club for 6 years. He was instrumental in helping several players play at the collegiate level.(Springfield College, Lasell College, Plymouth State, Becker, MCLA, and Roger Williams). He’s also a 9 year member of the CIAC Board 6 of basketball officials.
At Suffield High School he earned the reputation of being a hard nose defensive minded player, who would do anything it took to win and make his team successful. As a player at Eastern Connecticut State University, his playing career was cut short after suffering a severe ankle injury. Williams was a member of the 1985 Suffield High School Class S State Championship team and earned NCCC All Conference and All State recognition in 1986. In 2002, Williams was inducted into the Suffield High School Sports Hall of Fame.

ASSISTANT COACH CORRINE WILLIAMS
Corrine Williams finished her playing career at Bloomfield High School with 1,241 points, ranking her 3rd all time in school history. She was a 4 year starter and 2 time captain. Her achievements also include, CCC All Conference Team for 4 years and All State selection in 2014. She was a 2014 selection for the CIAC All Conference Game and 53rd Annual JCC School Girl Classic. Corrine ranks 3rd in her class with a 3.94 GPA. In the fall Corrine will attend Boston University on a full basketball scholarship, where she plans to major in Advertising and Marketing.
