Head Coach Ed Lavoie
Coach Ed Lavoie was the East Hartford High School’s boys’ basketball coach for 9 seasons prior to taking on a new career opportunity as an assistant principal at East Hartford High School. During his 9-year career, Lavoie’s team qualified for the CCC and State LL/ Division I tournament every season. In his third season at the helm, Coach Lavoie led the Hornets to their second semifinal in school history and the CCC North Division crown. In 2017, Lavoie’s Hornets went to their first state LL finals in 67 years. A very proud moment for him and the entire East Hartford Community. Many players have been recognized as All CCC Conference and All State players during his tenure. Along with numerous Hornet players have gone on to play at the collegiate level (25). Coach Lavoie has been a teacher, mentor and basketball coach in East Hartford for the past 18 years and continuous to develop players and assist them in reaching their basketball and career goals.
